How This Works
Our process is designed so that Ethical Tiny Homes has the opportunity to understand our clients' vision. We expect that our clients have spent some time gaining an understanding of what their tiny house will require as far as function, and what they would like to see with regard to design. The following steps allow us to ensure we have a shared understanding of the project, and are working toward a shared goal.
1. Build Site Visit

Our first step is for prospective clients to come meet our builders and take a look at the projects we are currently working on. Getting to know one another, visiting a tiny house build and sharing a few ideas are a great way to begin the process of ensuring we would make a good client/builder team.
2. Moving Forward

If we decide that moving forward together and exploring a possible project works for us both, the first step is to put some more details to your new home. Before we can start our work, you'll need to do yours. We ask that you complete the ETH Project Visioning Planner that will give us the details we need to provide you with your ETH estimate and workplan.
3. Design Plan

Based on the info you provided through the Visioning Planner, we build our cost estimate and design plan. We will also provide you with a contract that includes many of these details. To move forward from this stage, in addition to the contract, our clients will pay their deposit. After further collaboration, we begin our work. As we go, there will likely be some minor tweaks and changes, but the general plan and scope of work will be set at this time.
4. We Build

Based on the desired level of collaboration you outlined in your ETH Project Scope Document, we will begin our build. Some clients will play a big role in sourcing materials or finishing elements of the build themselves, where others would like us to take the lead from start to finish. Either way works for us, and we'll work with you at whatever level you'd like as we build your tiny home!
Please note that this breakdown is in general terms to offer you an idea of the project budget. Once you complete the Project Visioning Planner, we can give you further details on the estimate of your tiny house.
